When Greg Norman - Aussie pro golfer and former world #1 for 331 weeks - set out to create the golf course of the Riverside Golf Club, he took charge of a stunning natural setting in the Cikeas River valley. Built in former jungle land, the golf course is surrounded by abundant nature. And ever since its official opening, in October 1994, passing years and Mother Nature only added more beauty to the entire site. And especially today, aided by modern-day technology in golf equipment, the course still needs to be played mindful and wise. None of the holes are easy walkovers. Fortunately, though, the choice of three mens tee boxes allows you to make your round as easy or as difficult as you want it to be. The clubhouse is impressive and offers not only a well-stocked pro shop, but also modern and spacious locker rooms with showers and massage, spacious function rooms and cozy VIP room. The open-terraced restaurant offers a view on hole # 18, and on the practice facility that is home to a driving range as well as a putting and chipping area. On a clear day the mountains near Bogor city are visible in the distant horizon. A large swimming pool offers non-golfing family members a perfect place to pass the hours when Dad (and perhaps Mom too) is (are) playing golf. To rejuvenate the body, massage is available.
